Surah Ash-Shu'ara
وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
Wa azlafnā ṡammal-ākharīn(a).
And We advanced thereto the pursuers.

542) What is meant by 'the other party' is Pharaoh and his hosts. The meaning of this verse is that within the parted sea, Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) brought Pharaoh and his army close to Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) and the Children of Israel.
