Surah Al-Hajj
ثُمَّ لْيَقْضُوا۟ تَفَثَهُمْ وَلْيُوفُوا۟ نُذُورَهُمْ وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا۟ بِٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْعَتِيقِ
Ṡummal yaqḍū tafaṡafahum wal yūfū nużūrahum wal yaṭṭawwafū bil-baitil-‘atīq(i).
Then let them end their untidiness and fulfill their vows and perform Tawaf around the ancient House."

498) What is meant by removing dirt/cleansing here is cutting the hair, clipping the nails, and so forth. 499) Al-Bayt al-Atiq means 'the Ancient House'. It is so named because it was the first house of worship built on the face of the earth. Al-Atiq can also mean 'that which is liberated from the threat of tyrants'.
