Surah Al-Ahqaf

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَوْ كَانَ خَيْرًا مَّا سَبَقُونَآ إِلَيْهِ ۚ وَإِذْ لَمْ يَهْتَدُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَسَيَقُولُونَ هَـٰذَآ إِفْكٌ قَدِيمٌ

Wa qālal-lażīna kafarū lil-lażīna āmanū lau kāna khairam mā sabaqūnā ilaih(i), wa iż lam yahtadū bihī fasayaqūlūna hāżā ifkun qadīm(un).

And those who disbelieve say of those who believe, "If it had [truly] been good, they would not have preceded us to it." And when they are not guided by it, they will say, "This is an ancient falsehood."

690) The disbelievers mocked the Muslims by saying, "If this Qur’an were something good, we would surely have preceded them to it, rather than those poor and weak people like Bilal, ‘Ammar, Suhaib, and Khabbab."
