Surah Ar-Ra'd

وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِىٓ إِلَيْهِ مَنْ أَنَابَ

Wa yaqūlul-lażīna kafarū lau lā unzila ‘alaihi āyatum mir rabbih(ī), qul innallāha yuḍillu may yasyā'u wa yahdī ilaihi man anāb(a).

And those who disbelieved say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, Allah leaves astray whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him] -

380) Allah Almighty lets someone go astray because that person rejects His guidance. He grants guidance to someone because of their obedience to His signs and guidance.
