Surah Al-Kahf
فَضَرَبْنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ فِى ٱلْكَهْفِ سِنِينَ عَدَدًا
Faḍarabnā ‘alā āżānihim fil-kahfi sinīna ‘adadā(n).
So We cast [a cover of sleep] over their ears within the cave for a number of years.

444) Allah SWT put them to sleep for 309 lunar years in that cave (see verse 25 of this surah) so that they could not be awakened by any sound.
