Surah Al-Ahzab
وَلَوْ دُخِلَتْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَقْطَارِهَا ثُمَّ سُئِلُوا۟ ٱلْفِتْنَةَ لَـَٔاتَوْهَا وَمَا تَلَبَّثُوا۟ بِهَآ إِلَّا يَسِيرًا
Wa lau dukhilat ‘alaihim min aqṭārihā ṡumma su'ilul-fitnata la'ātauhā wa mā talabbaṡū bihā illā yasīrā(n).
And if they had been entered upon from all its [surrounding] regions and fitnah had been demanded of them, they would have done it and not hesitated over it except briefly.

612) The "fitnah" (tribulation) referred to in this verse is instigating chaos, such as apostasy and aiding enemy forces in war.
