Surah Ya-Sin

وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَنَسِىَ خَلْقَهُۥ ۖ قَالَ مَن يُحْىِ ٱلْعِظَـٰمَ وَهِىَ رَمِيمٌ

Wa ḍaraba lanā maṡalaw wa nasiya khalqah(ū), qāla may yuḥyil-‘iẓāma wa hiya ramīm(un).

And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?"

645) This verse is related to the story of al-'As bin Wa'il, who came to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) bringing crumbled bones and said, "Who can give life to these bones when they have rotted away?"
