Surah Ibrahim
Wa sakhkhara lakumusy-syamsa wal-qamara dā'ibaīn(i), wa sakhkhara lakumul-laila wan-nahār(a).
And He subjected for you the sun and the moon, continuous [in orbit], and subjected for you the night and the day.
📝 Footnotes
389) Allah Almighty subjects the sun and the moon to His natural laws so that the Earth continuously orbits the sun (which visually appears as if the sun orbits the Earth) and the moon continuously orbits the Earth, and the Earth continuously rotates, giving rise to the phenomena of night and day.
