Surah Al-Mu'minun

إِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزْوَٰجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَـٰنُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ

Illā ‘alā azwājihim au mā malakat aimānuhum fa innahum gairu malūmīn(a).

Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed -

506) The slaves referred to in this verse are those captured in religious warfare or born to a mother who is a slave. This is in accordance with the practices prevailing at that time.
