Surah Al-Mu'minun
۞ وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَـٰهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِم مِّن ضُرٍّ لَّلَجُّوا۟ فِى طُغْيَـٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
Wa lau raḥimnāhum wa kasyafnā mā bihim min ḍurril lalajjū fī ṭugyānihim ya‘mahūn(a).
And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly.

510) The polytheists once suffered a severe famine because food supplies failed to arrive from Yemen to Makkah, while Makkah and its surrounding areas were experiencing a drought, leaving them in extreme distress at that time.
