Surah Al-Ma'arij
عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ عِزِينَ
‘Anil-yamīni wa ‘anisy-syimāli ‘izīn(a).
[To sit] on [your] right and [your] left in separate groups?

725) According to some commentators of the Qur'an (mufassir), one day the polytheists gathered around the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) while mocking and saying, "If the believers are truly to enter Paradise as Muhammad claims, then we will surely enter it before them." Consequently, verse 38 was revealed.
