Surah Yunus
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُفَعَـٰٓؤُنَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Wa ya‘budūna min dūnillāhi mā lā yaḍurruhum wa lā yanfa‘uhum wa yaqūlūna hā'ulā'i syufa‘ā'unā ‘indallāh(i), qul atunabbi'ūnallāha bimā lā ya‘lamu fis-samāwāti wa lā fil-arḍ(i), subḥānahū wa ta‘ālā ‘ammā yusyrikūn(a).
And they worship other than Allah that which neither harms them nor benefits them, and they say, "These are our intercessors with Allah " Say, "Do you inform Allah of something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?" Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him

345) This expression is a mockery of the idolaters who imagine that those idols can grant them intercession or help before Allah Almighty. 346) This verse does not imply Allah Almighty's lack of knowledge about anything in the heavens and the earth, but rather underscores the sheer impossibility of the existence of any deity worthy of worship besides Allah.
