Surah Al-Qasas
Innal-lażī faraḍa ‘alaikal-qur'āna larādduka ilā ma‘ād(in), qur rabbī a‘lamu man jā'a bil-hudā wa man huwa fī ḍalālim mubīn(in).
Indeed, [O Muhammad], He who imposed upon you the Qur'an will take you back to a place of return. Say, "My Lord is most knowing of who brings guidance and who is in clear error."
📝 Footnotes
569) What is meant by the place of return is the city of Makkah. Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) promised that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would return to Makkah as a victor. This event took place in the eighth year of Hijrah, during the Conquest of Makkah. This is one of the miracles of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
