Surah Ar-Rum

وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَعَشِيًّا وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ

Wa lahul-ḥamdu fis-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa ‘asyiyyaw wa ḥīna tuẓhirūn(a).

And to Him is [due all] praise throughout the heavens and the earth. And [exalted is He] at night and when you are at noon.

584) According to some commentators (mufassir), the meaning of glorifying (tasbih) in verse 17 is establishing the ritual prayer (salah) because it contains the recitation of tasbih. Verses 17 and 18 explain the timings of the five daily prayers.
