Surah Al-Ma'idah
يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ ٱلْمُقَدَّسَةَ ٱلَّتِى كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَرْتَدُّوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَارِكُمْ فَتَنقَلِبُوا۟ خَـٰسِرِينَ
Yā qaumidkhulul-arḍal-muqaddasatal-latī kataballāhu lakum wa lā tartaddū ‘alā adbārikum fa tanqalibū khāsirīn(a).
O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned to you and do not turn back [from fighting in Allah 's cause] and [thus] become losers."
📝 Footnotes
208) This means that the land of Palestine was designated by Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, for the Jewish people as long as they remained faithful and obedient to Him. Once Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent by Allah and they chose to reject faith in him, this decree was forfeited for the Jews.
