Surah An-Nisa
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ نَصِيبًا مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْجِبْتِ وَٱلطَّـٰغُوتِ وَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَهْدَىٰ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ سَبِيلًا
Alam tara ilal-lażīna ūtū naṣībam minal-kitābi yu'minūna bil-jibti waṭ-ṭāgūti wa yaqūlūna lil-lażīna kafarū hā'ulā'i ahdā minal-lażīna āmanū sabīlā(n).
Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, who believe in superstition and false objects of worship and say about the disbelievers, "These are better guided than the believers as to the way"?

158) Jibt refers to Satan and anything that is worshipped instead of or alongside Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, while Taghut is usually applied to anyone whose transgression and evil surpass all bounds (see the footnote to Surah al-Baqarah 2:256).
