Surah An-Nisa
وَإِذَا حَضَرَ ٱلْقِسْمَةَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينُ فَٱرْزُقُوهُم مِّنْهُ وَقُولُوا۟ لَهُمْ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًا
Wa iżā ḥaḍaral-qismata ulul-qurbā wal-yatāmā wal-masākīnu farzuqūhum minhu wa qūlū lahum qaulam ma‘rūfā(n).
And when [other] relatives and orphans and the needy are present at the [time of] division, then provide for them [something] out of the estate and speak to them words of appropriate kindness.

144) This refers to relatives who do not possess any legal right of inheritance to the estate. 145) The nominal or voluntary gift given to them must not exceed one-third of the total inheritance.
