Surah Al-A'raf
وَإِلَىٰ مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا ۗ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥ ۖ قَدْ جَآءَتْكُم بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ فَأَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَٱلْمِيزَانَ وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلَـٰحِهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Wa ilā madyana akhāhum syu‘aibā(n), qāla yā qaumi‘budullāha mā lakum min ilāhin gairuh(ū), qad jā'atkum bayyinatum mir rabbikum fa auful-kaila wal-mīzāna wa lā tabkhasun-nāsa asy-yā'ahum wa lā tufsidū fil-arḍi ba‘da iṣlāḥihā, żālikum khairul lakum in kuntum mu'minīn(a).
And to [the people of] Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu'ayb. He said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. There has come to you clear evidence from your Lord. So fulfill the measure and weight and do not deprive people of their due and cause not corruption upon the earth after its reformation. That is better for you, if you should be believers.

276) Madyan was originally the name of the son of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) from his third wife, Keturah. Madyan married the daughter of Prophet Lot (peace be upon him). Later, the word "Madyan" (Midian) came to be used as a designation for the tribe descended from him. They lived on the coast of the Red Sea, southeast of the Sinai Desert, precisely between Hijaz (specifically Tabuk, Saudi Arabia) and the Gulf of Aqaba. 277) Meaning, the reformation through the divine laws (sharia) and guidance brought by the prophets and carried on by their successors.
