Surah Al-Baqarah
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُوا۟ وَأَصْلَحُوا۟ وَبَيَّنُوا۟ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَأَنَا ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Illal-lażīna tābū wa aṣlaḥū wa bayyanū fa'ulā'ika atūbu ‘alaihim, wa anat-tawwābur-raḥīm(u).
Except for those who repent and correct themselves and make evident [what they concealed]. Those - I will accept their repentance, and I am the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

46) What is meant is performing righteous deeds to erase the evils caused by one's mistakes and to clarify the truth that one used to conceal.
