Surah Al-Baqarah
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ يَوْمًا لَّا تَجْزِى نَفْسٌ عَن نَّفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا شَفَـٰعَةٌ وَلَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
Wattaqū yaumal lā tajzī nafsun ‘an nafsin syai'aw wa lā yuqbalu minhā syafā‘atuw wa lā yu'khażu minhā ‘adluw wa lā hum yunṣarūn(a).
And fear a Day when no soul will suffice for another soul at all, nor will intercession be accepted from it, nor will compensation be taken from it, nor will they be aided.

22) Intercession (shafa'ah) is the assistance given by, among others, angels, prophets, or selected believers with the permission of Allah SWT to alleviate someone's punishment or burden in the Hereafter.
