Surah Al-Baqarah

صِبْغَةَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ صِبْغَةً ۖ وَنَحْنُ لَهُۥ عَـٰبِدُونَ

Ṣibgatallāh(i), wa man aḥsanu minallāhi ṣibgataw wa naḥnu lahū ‘ābidūn(a).

[And say, "Ours is] the religion of Allah. And who is better than Allah in [ordaining] religion? And we are worshippers of Him."

📝 Footnotes
39) Sibgah Allah means 'the dye of Allah SWT'. What is meant is belief in Allah SWT without any form of polytheism. The term is used because faith integrates into the heart much like a dye blends into a dipped fabric, and the effect of that dye is visible on the clothing just as the impact of faith is visible within a believer.
