Surah Al-Baqarah

Wa iż faraqnā bikumul-baḥra fa'anjainākum wa agraqnā āla fir‘auna wa antum tanẓurūn(a).

And [recall] when We parted the sea for you and saved you and drowned the people of Pharaoh while you were looking on.

📝 Footnotes
24) Allah SWT granted a miracle to Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) by providing him with a path to cross through the parting of the sea. There is no definitive scientific explanation for its mechanism. It is possible that Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) and his people crossed through a narrow bay cleft exactly at the time of maximum low tide caused by a full moon or a new moon, revealing land to cross. About 6 hours later, Pharaoh's army pursued them. While they were in the middle, the sea tide began to rise and drowned them all.
